Explanation:

Y=6X+7

3X-8Y=4

Substitute Y=6X+7

3X-8Y=4

3X-8(6X+7)=4

3X-48X-56=4

-45X-60=0, therefore 45X=-60=X=-4/3

Sub. X values in Equation

Y=6X+7

=6(-4/3)+7, therefore Y=-1
