The measures of one of the angles of a triangle is 35.The sum of the measures of the other two angles is 145 and the difference between their measures is 15. What are the measures of the unknown angles

x=80 and y=65

Explanation:

Let one angle be x and the other be y

x+y=145 (1)

x-y=15 (2)

Adding both eqs

x+y+x-y=145+15

2x=160

x=160/2

x=80

Putting value of x in 1

80+y=145

y=145-80

y=65

Now

x+y+z=180 where z=35

80+65+35=180

180=180
