I need help putting this equation into standard form y+2=1/2(x-4) can you also explain how you got the answer please

(1)/(2) x -y=4

Explanation:

Standard Form is ax +by = c

so you will need to work with the equation

y+2 = x/2 - 4/2 = x/2-2

y = x/2 -4

-x/2 + y = -4 (now multiply by -1 to make it prettier)

x/2 -y = 4

so a=1/2 and b=-1


(1)/(2) x -y=4
