Simplify the following expression: 5y − 7z + 5x − z − 8x + y −3x + 4y − 6z −3x + 4y − 8z −3x +6y − 6z −3x + 6y − 8z

The simplified expression is
\(16y - 7z - 13x\).

Let's combine like terms in the given expression:

\[5y - 7z + 5x - z - 8x + y - 3x + 4y - 6z - 3x + 4y - 8z - 3x + 6y - 6z - 3x + 6y - 8z\]

Combine the like terms for each variable:

\[ (5y + y + 4y + 6y) - (7z + z - 6z - 8z) + (5x - 8x - 3x - 3x - 3x)\]

Combine the coefficients:

\[16y - 7z - 13x\]

So, the simplified expression is
\(16y - 7z - 13x\).

Answer:

-15x+26y-24z

Explanation:

For the x's I can see.....

5x, -8x, -3x, -3x, -3x, -3x = -3x x 4= -12x -8x = -20x + 5x = -15x

For the y's I can see.....

5y, y, 4y, 4y, 6y, 6y = 6y x 2 = 12y

4y x 2 = 8y

12y + 8y = 20y +5y = 25y + y = 26y

And finally for the z's I can see.....

7z, -z, -6z, -8z, -6z, -8z = -8z x 2= -16z

-6z x 2= -12z

-12z -18z = -30z -z = -31z +7z = -24z
