Answer:

18 is the median for this set of numbers.

Explanation:

If you lye(?) out the numbers in order:

3, 4, 18, 23, 29

You will see that 18 is right in the middle, making it the median. If there was a number next to 18 and the set of numbers were even you would have to find the mean of the two middle numbers.

For Example:

3, 4, 18, 20, 23, 29

To find the mean, you must add the two middle numbers and then devide it by two because that's the amount of numbers you added.

18+20=38

38/2=19

The medium would then be 19

Answer:

15.4

Explanation:

mean is just the average of a set of numbers.

4 + 18 + 3 + 29 + 23 = 77

77 / 5 = 15.4
