Answer:

Teens are allowed to drive according to a learner's permit at age 16, a probationary license after 6 months, and an unrestricted driver's license at age 18. If you look at this, teens are not given enough room to roam because of the fact that they have to wait so long. Independence. Teenagers crave independence. As they grow into young adults, they feel the need to spread their wings and fly. If they can't do things on their own, then how will they know how to do these things when they become older in life? Driving is for the betterment of teens, not statistics.
