3. Solve these systems of equations by the substitution method.

In substitution method we have to put the value of one variable from first equation to the another given equation.

here equation are

x=3y-7 ......a

4x+3y=2 .......b

put the value of x from equation first into the second equation

so, 4(3y-7)+3y=2

(12y-28)+3y=2

15y-28=2

15y=2+28

15y=30

or y=30/2=2

now put this y value in equation a

x=3(2)-7

x=6-7=-1

hence y=2 and x= -1
