Given: system of equation, y=2x-13 and y=x²-6x+3

using substitution method,

substitute y=2x-13 into y=x²-6x+3


2x-13=x^2-6x+3


x^2-6x-2x+3+13=0


x^2-8x+16=0


(x-4)(x-4)=0


x=4,4

Put x=4 into y=2x-13

y = 2(4) - 13

y = 8-13

y = -5
