How does a water molecules shape make it polar?

Answer: The water is polar because of the fact that the bent shape of the molecule has a highly electronegative oxygen atom that attracts electrons or negative charge to it, along with making the region around the oxygen more negative than the areas around the two hydrogen atoms.
