Explanation:

From the question the speed was given in miles per hour while the time was given in minutes. The time should be converted to hrs before one calculate the speed .

Time = 45 minutes

60 minutes = 1 hr

45 minutes = ?

45/60 = 0.75 hr

Time = 0.75 hr

speed = distance/time

distance = speed × time

distance = 7.5 × 0.75

distance = 5.625 miles
