A model of the building is made using the scale 1 : 50.

The area of the building is 123.92 m^2
What is the area of the cross-section of the model?
Give your answer in square centimetres.

Explanation:

The area of the current building is
123.92 m^2.

It is said that the building is scaled as 1:50.

So the model would be usually small so the area of the model would be


(123.92)/(50) =2.4784

The area of the model is
2.4784 m^2

Converting this into square centimetres we get


area=24784 cm^(2)

Hence this would be the area of the model.
