There is a very simple way to solve this

Whatever you get in the parentheses will be multiplied by 2

so 98/2 is 49

you subtract 9 from 49 because you will add 9 to X

so 49-9=40

Now all you have to do is times x by 4 to get 40

Divide the 40 by 4 and you get 10

So X=10

(Remember in these problems to do them thhis way normally if it says to multiply you divide. Do the opposite)
