The magna carta changed history. How did it change the kings power how did it protect the rights of the people

The purpose of the magna carta was to take power away from the king so he didn't have full power. Now, his lords would have some of the power so the king technically couldn't make a huge decision without the Lord's agreeing to it. Think of the Lord's as the voice of the people. The Magna Carta made everyone appeal to the law and follow it. Even the King. This protected the rights of the people by ensuring that EVERYONE was abiding by the law. Not just some people.
