Answer:

12

Explanation:

New bikes : old bikes = 3:1

Since there are 36 new bikes, old bikes = 36 divided by 3 which is 12

Answer:

Number of used bikes left in the stock is 12 .

Solution:

In the question it is given that the motorcycle maintains inventory of three bikes as used bikes.

Let the used bikes be ‘x’. Then according to question new bikes would be 3x.

It is given that the number of new bikes left in the inventory is 36.

Using the equation below we will try to find the value of x.

3x = 36

x = (36)/(3)

On dividing the values we get,

x = 12

Therefore, number of used bikes left in the stock is 12.
