Hey there! :)

y - 3 ≤ -10

When solving for variables that contain “alligator signs,” treat the signs as equal signs until the very last step.

y - 3 = -10

Because we’re trying to isolate y, we just add 3 to both sides in order to get y alone.

y = -10 + 3

Simplify.

y = -7

Put in the less than or equal to sign.

Therefore : y ≤ -7

Hope this helped! :)
