Explanation:

We can find the slope by subtracting Q points by P points.

(2 - (-1)) / (7 - (-2))

3 / 9

1/3 = slope

To find y intercept we can use the slope and find the difference left

y = (1/3)x

-1 = (1/3)(-2)

-1 = -(2/3)

This is not true

To make it true we must subtract -(1/3)

This means our equation is

y = (1/3)x - (1/3)
