Answer:

The length of the largest salami is 48.75 feet

Solution:

Given,

Tara’s house = 50 feet

Tara’s bike = 4 feet

Tara’s height = 4 feet 9 inches

We know 12 inch = 1 foot

1 inch = (1)/(12) foot

9 inch =
(9)/(12) foot = 0.75 foot

4 feet 9 inch = 4 feet +0.75 feet = 4.75 feet

Adding tara’s (house + bike + height) = 50+4+4.75 = 58.75

It is given that that combining tara’s house, bike and height are 10 feet shorter than the largest salami which means difference between Tara’s(house + bike + height) and largest salami is 10.

Tara’s(house + bike + height) - largest salami = 10

58.75 - largest salami = 10

58.75-10=largest salami

48.75 = largest salami.

The largest salami is 48.75 feet long
