Livestock illness:

Livestock illness leads to severe impacts and consequences. Some of the impacts are local agricultural economy damage; loss of livelihoods for farmers and farm workers; and it also causes health issues in humans. It also leads to several consequences like increase in food costs, effect on tourism, and service industries like catering and it also has psychological effect on farmers.

Some of the diseases from animals to humans:

  • Zoonotic tuberculosis (TB)
  • Leptospirosis
  • Rabies
  • Leishmaniasis (due to the bite from certain sandflies)
  • Trypanosomiasis (sleeping sickness)
  • Hepatitis E
  • Anthrax

For Humans, it causes some severe consequences. They can be transferred by direct contact with animals and also by environment indirectly.
