Using the pythagorean theorem

A)
(√(2))^(2) + (√(3))^(2) =  (√(4))^(2)

2 + 3 = 4

5 = 4

since 5 is not equal to 4 so A is wrong

B)
(√(8))^(2) + (3)^(2) =  (√(17))^(2)

8 + 9 = 17

17 = 17

so answer B) is correct

C)
(5)^(2) + (6)^(2) =  (8)^(2)

25 + 36 = 64

61 = 64

since 61 is not equal to 64 so C) is also wrong
