There are many things that make advertisements effective so here are 3 of them. One thing that makes an advertisement effective is a clear statement (a clear reason why you should get the product). Another way to make an advertisement effective is by including someone famous or a well-known name. Lastly, another way to make advertisements effective is by adding a bit of humor.

An advertisement I think is well done is a bit funny, has many facts, and costs a lot of money.

Most of the successful campaigns or advertisements have a catchy slogan which summarizes the products distinctive features. Effective campaigns and ads also need to show changes or change in behavior per-say for increases in revenue. That makes the advertisement effective.

Example of a well-done advertisement:

A website for example advertises on a more popular website. Now, Instagram has over 10 mil. + users. Meaning over 1 mil + people are going to see that ad. That would make people interested in the website.
