I don’t quite know about geometrically, but I’m sure this will help.
Algebraically: square both sides, as it negates the modulus(absolute value) brackets.
(x-1)^2=(x-2)^2
x^2-2x+1=x^2-4x+4
The x^2’s cancel out.
-2x+1=-4x+4
2x=3
X=1.5
