Step-by-step explanation:

Step1

Fluidity is the ability of the fluid to flow in the mold cavity. Fluidity must be enough for the complete filling of mold cavity in the sand-casting process.

Step2

Fluidity depends upon many factors, some of are given as follows:

(a) Composition of the alloy

Fluidity of the fluid depends upon composition of the alloy. Metals of alloy from which it is formed gives the fluidity of the liquid metal.

(b) Pouring temperature

More the pouring temperature more will be the fluidity of the liquid metal in the mold.

(c) Viscosity of the fluid

Viscosity is the important factor regarding fluid fluidity. More the viscosity less will be the fluidity due to more friction.

(d) Surface roughness

More the surface roughness in the mold less will be the fluidity in the mold.
