Answer with explanation:

Given : A truck rental company rents a moving truck for one day by charging $ 34 plus $ 0.06 per mile.

i.e. Cost (in dollars) = 34 + 0.06 × No. of miles driven

Let x be the number of miles driven then the cost ( in dollars) of renting the truck is given by :-

C=34+0.06x

Hence, the linear equation that relates the cost C, in dollars, of renting the truck to the number x of miles driven :
C=34+0.06x

At x= 176

C=34+0.06(176)=34+10.56=44.56

Hence, the cost of renting the truck if the truck is driven 179 miles = $44.56

At x= 368

C=34+0.06(368)=34+22.08=56.08

Hence, the cost of renting the truck if the truck is driven 368 miles = $56.08
