I'm doing a project for US History and I need help.

I have to create my own colony and one of the questions is "What kinds of preparations will you make incase natives attack?"

Ideas?

also, my colony is located in New Jersey (the middle colony)

first you would set up an alarm system like jingling bells to tell you when and if the natives arrive, then you set people up on the out skirts of your camp. you take in the native for questioning once captured. if they don't come alone which they most likely wouldn't, you set people up on the inside who can come right away, and defend your camp.
