Explanation:

Supplementary angles sum to 180°

let one angle be x then the larger angle is x + 70, thus

x + x + 7 0 = 180

2x + 70 = 180 ( subtract 70 from both sides )

2x = 110 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 55

Hence

larger angle = x + 70 = 55 + 70 = 125°
