Article I, section 2 of the U.S constitution sets the prerequisites of the representative of the house. The three prerequisite to serve in the house of representative (lower house) are as follows;

1. The age of the person should be 25 years old.

2. The person should be a citizen of United States at least for seven years.

3. The person should be live in the state he/she represent.
