Explanation:

What you want to do here is plug the x values into the equation and take the resulting y-values and arrange them in order from least to greatest: that is your range. So, for example, I plug in -3 for x and I got 8 because -3(3) is 9-1, which is 8. For the next one, I plug in -2. -3(-2) is 6-1, which is 5. Do you see what I'm doing?
