Answer:

y+0.5x-2=0

Explanation:

Given,

X-intercept of line = 4

So, the line intersect the x axis at (4,0)

Y-intercept of the line = 2

So, the line intersect the y axis at (0,2)

So, the slope of the line can be given by

m\ =\ (y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

=\ (2-0)/(0-4)

= -0.5

Hence, the equation of line can be given by

y=mx+c

where, m=slope of the line

c= y-intercept of line

So, after putting the value of m and c in above equation, the equation of line will be

y = -0.5x + 2

=> y+0.5x-2=0

So, the equation of line will be y+0.5x-2=0.
