Answer: The length of last piece is 30 inches.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Length of one leg = 18 inches

Length of other leg = 2 feet = 24 inches

As it is in the right triangle.


H^2=P^2+B^2\\\\H^2=18^2+24^2\\\\H^2=900\\\\H=√(900)\\\\H=30

Hence, the length of last piece is 30 inches.
