These are vertical angles. Therefore

(2x)=87-x

Add x to each side

3x=87

X=29

Answer:

The measures of the labeled angles are 58°.

Explanation:

Since the two angles are opposite angles, they have to be equal, meaning:

2x = 87 - x

Solve by adding x to both sides and dividing by 3.

3x = 87 \\ x = 29

If x = 29°, then 2x= 58°.

Since opposite angels are equal, the other angle is also 58°.

This can be checked:

87 - 29 = 58
