Explanation:

The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other, thus

x - 7 = 6 ( add 7 to both sides )

x = 13

and

2y - 6 = 8 ( add 6 to both sides )

2y = 14 ( divide both sides by 2 )

y = 7
