Challenging responsibility of forensic scientists:

Forensic Science requires the use of science and technology in law to examine evidence and solve cases. Three of the most challenging tasks of forensic scientists are:

  • Collecting information at a scene - I think it is challenging because there is a high chance of contamination of crime scene leading to collecting wrong information.
  • Recovering information from electronics is another challenging task because the device may be damaged or burned and putting the pieces together pose a challenge. Sometimes recovering data even requires the assistance of the product manufacturer who may be in a foreign country.
  • Crisscrossing the evidence which means confusing certain aspects evidence which may lead to wrong interpretation of the incident.
