Answer: Well, it is D.

Explanation:

Here is the explanation. For #1: A temperature increase of 1 degree farenheit is equivalent to a temperature increase of 5/9 degree celsius.

To find this we have to use the equation:

5/9(F-32)=C

DISTRIBUTE

5/9F–160/9

After you solve this (which you should know how to solve) you would get x=5/9 which makes it correct, so a temperature increase of 1 degree farenheit is equal to a temperature increase of 5/9.

For #2: A temperature increase of 1 degree celsious is equivalent to a temperature increase of 1.8 degrees farenheit.

Equation:

5/9(F-32)5/9F

9C + 160F

9/5(C + 1) +329/5C

Then after all of this it should equal to 9/5 which is 1.8

Anyways for #3 you basically do the opposite of #1,

C=5/9(f-32)

5/9(f-32)+x

x=25/9

This does not equal 1 degree celsius so that statement is false and it is only 1 and 2 that are correct.

Comment if you do not understand something :)
