Explain the basic ideas put forward by authors Edward Bellamy, Thorstein Veblen, and Henry George in their books from the late 1800s.

Answer: Henry George is well renowned figure that argued labors were the main and vital point of wealth; whereas investors made capital from household and property. He is also known for his debate over economic rent of property, he believed that it should be distributed by society.

The main theme of the book "Looking Backward" by Edward Bellamy is about the functions of rationality played in economical and social constraints. The notion in regards with the new society is “the rational result of the action of human nature in rational conditions” is refashioned in several forms.

Thorstein Veblen in his book "Theory of the Leisure Class" argued that individuals received minute real pleasure from the big homes they owned and the gaudy purchases they made, but these they were really made to just show off the wealth.
