What is the inverse of the function f(x) = 2x - 10

h(x) = 2х - 5
h(x)= 2x + 5
h(x) = 1/2x - 5
h(x) = 1/2x + 5

Answer:

D.
h(x)= (x)/(2)+5

Explanation:

our function is

f(x)=2x-10

we are asked to determine the inverse of the above function . In order to do so we put f(x) = y and separate x in terms of y and in the final answer , we replace x with y and x with h(x)

let us see how do we do that

y=2x-10

adding 10 on both side

y+10=2x

dividing both sides by 2 we get

(y+10)/(2)=x

x= (y)/(2)+(10)/(2)

x= (y)/(2)+5

we replace x with y and x with h(x)

h(x)= (x)/(2)+5

Hence

option D is correct
