Answer: 3 < x

Explanation:

8x - 6 > 6x

subratct 8x from both sides

-6 > -2x

Divide both sides by -2 making sure to flip the sign because you are dividing by a negative number

3 < x

CHECK YOUR WORK (use any number greater than 3)

8(4) - 6 > 6(4)

32 - 6 > 24

26 > 24 (So the statement is true :) )
