Answer:

X=5 and 6

Explanation:

You would set each polynomial equal to zero. Then add the 5 to both sides to get x by itself and there is your answer. You'd do the same for the other polynomial.

x-5= 0

move -5 to the other side

sign changes from -5 to +5

x-5+5= 0+5

x= 5

x-6= 0

x-6+6= 0+6

x= 6

Answer: B. 5 and 6
