py+qy=-4y-8

Solve for y

That means ----> isolate the variable y

Adds 4y both sides


py+qy+4y=-4y-8+4y


py+qy+4y=-8

Factor the variable y in the let side


y[p+q+4]=-8

Divide by (p+q+4) both sides


y=-8/[p+q+4]
