According to Newton's second law of motion, C. an object accelerates in the same direction as that of the force applied.

You don't see this when you see the 2nd law's formula written as Force=mass·Acceleration ... there doesn't seem to be any information about directions there.

The thing is that this is supposed to be a VECTOR equation, like Force=m·Acceleration . Written like that, it says that Force and Acceleration are vectors, and both sides of the vector equation have the same direction, so the vectors Force and Acceleration both have the same direction.
