Answer:

9375

Explanation:

Given,

Candy maker put prizes in 600 bags of candy.

Let x be the bags having no prize,

So, the total number of bags of candies = x + 600

Thus, the ratio of candies bag with price and total bags =
(600)/(x+600)

∵ Out of 125 bags, 8 bags have price.

i.e. the ratio of the candies bag with price and total bags =
(8)/(125)

\implies (600)/(x+600)=(8)/(125)

125(600) = 8(x+600)

75000 = 8x + 4800

70200= 8x

\implies x = (70200)/(8)=8775

Hence, the total number of bags of candies = x + 600 = 8775 + 600 = 9375
