When you roll a six-sided die , then the total number of outcomes = 6

The number greater than 3= 4, 5 ,6

The favorable outcomes of rolling a 5 or a number greater than 3 = 4, 5 ,6

Then , the probability that the rolling a 5 or a number greater than 3 is given by :-


(3)/(6)=(1)/(2)

The favorable outcomes for the rolling a number less than 5 or an even number =2, 4

Then the probability that the rolling a number less than 5 or an even number :-


(2)/(6)=(1)/(3)
