we know that

The rule of the translation is equal to

pre-mage------> image

(x,y) -----> (x+1,y-4)

so

we have that

(x+1,y-4)=(1,7)

so

x+1=1 -----> x=1-1=0

y-4=7 ----> y=7+4=11

therefore

The pre-image is the point (0,11)
