Answer: 10 units

Explanation:

If the trail starts at R(-2, 4) and goes towards S(3, 4), the distance between the two points would be the sum of the absolute value of the x values. That means it's 2 + 3, which is 5. The distance between the 2 points is five. Doing the same thing with S(3, 4), and T(3, -1) but with the y values, you get 5. adding the 2 distances up you get:

5 + 5 = 10
