Answer: y = -2

Explanation:

2x + 4y = 2 → -2(2x + 4y = 2) → -4x - 8y = -4

4x + y = 18 → 1(4x + y = 18) → 4x + y = 18

-7y = 14

$y=(14)/(-7)\\$

y = -2
