Answer: 4cm

Explanation:

b=length

a=width

Perimeter=24cm=2*a+2*b

So 2*a+2*b=24. Equation 1

b=2*a. Equation 2

Using equation 1

we have

2*a+2*(2*a)=24

2*a+4*a=24

6*a=24

a=4cm

The width of the rectangle is 4cm
