Finding the slope using two points:

The formula for slope is

(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))

In this case...

(1, 9) and (-3, 16)

y_(2) =16\\y_(1) =9\\x_(2) =-3\\x_(1) =1

^^^Plug these numbers into the formula for slope...

(16-9)/(-3 -1)

(7)/(-4)

C.
(-7)/(4)

^^^This is your slope

Hope this helped!
