3x² - 4y² = 11

+ 4y²

3x² = 4y² + 11

- 11

3x² - 11 = 4y²

÷4

3x² - 11 / 4 = y²

Square root both sides, to get y on its own

Root 3x² - 11 / 4 = y

So, y = the Square root of 3x² - 11 / 4

So, y = the Square root of 3x² - 11 / 4 (or root 3x² - 11 /4)

Hope this helps!
