So, basically when you see "distributive property" the first thing you want to do is look for ( ). The number in front of the ( ) is what you're going to distribute(multiply) to each term inside the ( ). (In this problem there is only one term inside the parenthesis)

Obviously,

6*1 = 6

So 6+5=35 is what you end up with

and 11 does not equal 35 so the answer would be not true
