Answer:

2 gallons

Explanation:

If you use one whole gallon, you will have covered 2/4.

When you simplify this fraction, you get 1/2. This means you have another half to cover.

So, 1 gallon plus another gallon is 2.

Answer:

2 gallons of paint.

Explanation:

Since
(1)/(2) gallon of paint covered =
(1)/(4) of the wall.

Therefore, 1 gallon of paint covered = 1 ×
(1)/(4) =
(2)/(4) =
(1)/(2) of the wall.

To paint 1 wall we need the paint =
(1)/((1)/(2) ) =
1*(2)/(1) gallon of paints

= 2 gallons of paint.

2 gallons of paint covers the whole wall.
