How do you solve for the y-intercept? Show steps please

Step-by-step explanation: The y-intercept is where the line on a graph crosses the y-axis. For example Y=2x-2. The line crosses the y-axis at (0,-2). So the Y-intercept would be (0,-2)

When we look at Y=mx+b (slope intercept form)

M being the slope and B being the Y intercept.

So to write it as an ordered pair you just need to put 0 in place of the x-coordinate. So (0,-2)
